The Inumbra Large parasol, part of the Inumbra collection, is a minimalist and wind-resistant umbrella that stands out due to its sleek, modern design and impressive durability. With its mechanical components positioned at the top, the Inumbra features a flat canopy that catches less wind than traditional convex umbrellas. In wind tunnel tests, it withstood winds up to gale force 8, although it’s advised to close it at force 6 for optimal safety. When paired with the Gargantua or Pantagruel picnic tables, the pole is fastened to the tabletop, ensuring no legroom is lost while maintaining a clean and sturdy appearance. This combination creates one of the most robust terrace setups available.
Designed by Dirk Wynants for Extremis, Inumbra offers more shade than a typical umbrella thanks to its larger, lower canvas, and its user-friendly operation with a separate handle for opening and closing.
